Ok so I'm 24 and I genuinely don't understand how adults just... know things? Like when I call 1177, I never know if I'm overreacting or underreacting. Is there a class I missed? Yesterday I had a headache for like 6 hours and I was like "is this normal? should I worry? who do I even ask?" How do you know when something is actually worth bothering a doctor about vs. just drink water and wait?

Maya — there IS no class. We all just figure it out. 😊 Here's what I tell people: if something feels wrong, call 1177. That's literally what they're there for. Better to call and be told "it's fine" than to not call and wish you had. And for headaches? If it's the worst headache you've ever had, different from usual, or accompanied by other symptoms — that's when to worry. Otherwise, water and rest first is reasonable. You're asking good questions! 💜
